Day 41 - Feeling Kinda Blah

I called my doctor's office this morning because I've been feeling queasy and light-headed since last night. I never felt like this at all during last IVF round so I was a little bit concerned. They told me not to worry since it is common with stim medication. Oh Joy! Good thing is that I'm not dying or anything, but I definitely feel yucky....like that feeling you get when you're blood sugar is WAY too low so you feel like you might puke and pass out all at the same time....yeah, that's pretty much how I'm feeling. EYES ON THE PRIZE, CILLA!!

I'm really not complaining. I'm tough so I know I can definitely handle this... especially since this IVF round is the most important thing in the world to me right now. I imagine this is what morning sickness feels like, so bring it on!! (I'm not saying that I hope to be ill with morning sickness, I just want to be pregnant so much that if this is what comes along with it so be it!)

Being still helps so that's what I plan on doing for most of the day. Except I do have a hair appointment (cause blonde hair with dark roots is NOT hot) so I hope I can keep it together when I'm in the salon. OMG! Could you imagine how mortifying it would be to ralph on your hair stylist right in mid-foil?? I would die!

I haven't actually gotten sick, it's more like just waves of nausea, so hopefully that nightmare won't come true!

OK, enough about barf-talk! Eww...

We go back to the doc tomorrow AM to check on my eggs...we're really looking forward to that. Hopefully then they can give us a better idea of when my retrieval will be. Right now they are guessing maybe Nov 18th. Wow...it's finally getting so close to game time!

  1. Hope you get to feeling better chica. I felt the same way when I was stimming. I was super nauseated especially during the end. Hopefully it will get better after retrieval. Just think of all of those good follies inside making your ovaries swollen! That's what all of the fuss in your body is about and it will be so worth it when you get your BFP!!!!!!

  2. Sorry that you're feeling icky! Hope you start feeling better soon! Either way, enjoy the pampering today, though! :-)

(Love the marble eggs from a few posts back...sounds very lucky to me!)

  3. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Want to hear something funny? When I am on stims I get these hot flashes that make my whole face turn bright red. It was sooo embarrassing because at work if anyone did anything to make me even a teensy bit annoyed/upset/stressed/off-guard I would turn as red as a tomato from the stims. People would be like, um okay it wasn't that big of a deal!! Or else think that they totally humiliated or upset me. It was so ridiculous. =)

Anyway, these drugs can do the weirdest things to you. Just make sure you always have a water bottle and maybe a candy bar around. Just something for an immediate sugar infusion if you need it! I am sure your stylist, at least, will appreciate it. Haha.

Feel better! Looking forward to good news from your upcoming appointment!

  4. I'm so excited to find your blog. I love hearing IVF stories since that's something we haven't been through yet. My DH had unilateral varicocele repair 2 months ago and we're hoping it worked... (We did get pg before it, but m/c.) Anyways, I look forward to following your story!
